Pray.
They have lost directions, of many ways. Some were so lethargy that the only thing they can think of is going through the motion to get the salary they needed badly for survival.
So pray.
That the only reason they need becomes the reason they endeavor - for righteousness.
The hard work that they endured is not only for the sake of survival, but also for the sake of betterment in their lives.
So pray.
That they will eventually find rest in the fact that all hard work leads to futility of rewards in this world, but of immense worth for the life to come.
That they will eventually, by the testimonies of those who profess the faith of Christ to hold steadfast and be the salt and light of the world for those that were lost.
Therefore, please pray with me. In Jesus' name, Amen.

The joy of serving the Lord with all ones heart comes to those who are thankful to Him and realize the great gift He has already given by giving Himself on the cross for our sins. Otherwise, life can seem meaningless if we are only working for a paycheck.
quest4god@revelife - Definitely. I am often reminded how much that of the worth of the world - that in your doing, you find reward - and this reward is for this present season. We, workers commissioned in the world, will have to constantly remind ourselves of the treasures in heaven, even if the treasures in heaven are not of what we expect to be: temporary, fleshly-driven, materialistic.For couple of years, I myself have been enslaved by the desires of this world, partly because of what that came to me first - survival.Though it took a long time to realize, I am praying for the same as my fellow co-workers, especially my subordinates, cause they seem to be lost in the flow of work. The least I can do is to pray for them to realize something more than just work. And sadly, they are not Christian. I am praying each day for my heart to be sensitive to their needs and also the conviction to share my testimony in Christ to them.Thanks for your sharing too by the way. :) Brighten up the days, knowing that the walk with God is not alone.
